Third graders had a gorgeous day to release the Painted Lady butterflies!


Thanks to Hunter Wellman for teaching the first graders all about corn and the corn belt. Fun fact: 1% of the corn grown becomes popcorn.

Congratulations to this week's Rangers of the Week. They show their Ranger Pride by being leaders and having integrity at school! Great job, Rangers!

5th grade participated in an engaging integrity lesson with our guidance counselor, Mrs Barhorst. After squeezing all the toothpaste out of the tube, they had just 3 minutes to try to put it back in! Just like the toothpaste, our words and actions can’t always be taken back.

5th grade classes are working hard to complete their portraits of eating watermelons. The students will complete their art with a beautiful mosaic background. These are spectacular works of art hanging in the hallways of New Knoxville!

Spirit Day on Tuesday!

The Annual Health 10 Pharmaceutical Speed Dating took place with 18 daters learning about the dangers of pharmaceutical addiction.


🧑💻✌️ Week 2 of Typing.com is in the books for our 2nd & 3rd graders! They’re building finger strength, mastering home row keys, and learning to keep those eyes on the screen—not the keyboard! Proud of their focus and progress already.



A big thank you to Beth Miller and Lori Now from the Ohio State Extension Agency for visiting our 3rd graders today. Their Glow Germ presentation taught our students all about germs and the important ways we can protect ourselves and stay healthy.








Third grade students learned a little more about germs today, thanks to Beth Miller and Lori Now from the Ohio State Extension Agency! They learned that a sneeze can travel 17-20 feet, and they should wash their hands with soap and water for 20 seconds!



Container Ball in Grades 4-6 PE was a huge hit! We worked on throwing, catching, evading, invading, defense, teamwork, and strategic game play. We have hard working students at NK!




Rick Kremer and Ellie Gabel from Crown spoke to our juniors and seniors not only about opportunities at Crown but also about job readiness. Thanks to both for their time and support of our NK students!



4A rotated between writing stations, LEGO Robotics and STEM stations over the past 3 weeks. They learned a lot about the engineering process by building a tower strong enough to hold a basketball for at least 20 seconds! They also learned how to code a robot to do moving tasks.
