The past two days in Mrs. Gross’s class was packed full of Thanksgiving fun and learning! We did Thanksgiving stations, which included making bead bracelets that tell the story of the first Thanksgiving and teepees with Indian drawings. We made butter and devoured it quickly on rolls! The 2nd graders also made flap-books as we explored the life of pilgrims and Wampanoag Indians. Last, we created a 3-D diagram with the Mayflower!

KA had a fun filled day reviewing old skills and practicing new ones in Thanksgiving style!

After learning about the history of Thanksgiving and the life of the pilgrims and Native Americans, 2A enjoyed playing games, stringing popcorn, and making butter!

3B enjoyed practicing and performing our Readers Theater: Name That Character today!

The National Honor Society inducted 4 new outstanding members into the organization. Congrats to the new members, and thanks to the current members for putting on a great ceremony.

It was a “soup-er” day in Mrs. Gross’s class making stone soup after reading the book Stone Soup. We also worked on making soup-er sentences.

After reading our focus book, Stone Soup, and creating some "soup"er sentences this week, 2A enjoyed making our own version of stone soup. Most students gave it a thumbs up!

Mrs. Gross’s class had fun playing math knockout this week to practice adding 3-digit numbers!
