Mrs. Stuttler's Biology class combined science with technology to try to solve a problem. Their imaginary town needs a new water tower! Staying within the constraints of a budget and size, students did their best to purchase materials from the General Store and build a water that would hold 10,000 gallons of water (100 pennies)!

What a great first week in second grade! We built towers out of index cards, adding a card each time we found something in common with friends in our group. Such a fun way to kick off the year and get to know each other!

Last week the fourth graders participated in a cup tower challenge called "Tower of Terror". Teams competed against each other to see how many times they could collapse the cup tower by pulling out the large index cards. It's not as easy as you think!

Mrs. Gross's class had fun getting to know each other with a STEM building activity during the first week of school! Student groups could only build their tower with index cards and each card had to have something written on it that they had in common.

Working together as engineering teams, third graders were asked to imagine, plan, and then create the tallest structure using spaghetti and marshmallows. The engineering team of Chevelle Lees, Maddie Barns, Nash Zimmerman, and Levi Roettger won the competition with a tower of 16 and one-half inches!
